Even though Hyundai’s Santa Fe was redesigned in 2013, it seems that the vehicle will suffer some changes for the 2017 model year too. It will be a mild refresh that will make the vehicle more appealing to customers. The carmaker joined the ever-growing SUV market in 2001 with the Santa Fe and since then, two generations have arrived. The third one is on the horizon. The carmaker decided to change it primarily because they want to match it up with the rest of vehicles in their lineup. Spy shots reveal what has been changed inside of the cabin and in terms of exterior. Well, those parts that are heavily camouflaged on the shots are probably refreshed and redesigned. Let’s check out the changes in details of new 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid.
Exterior of 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid
The carmaker wants to boost this already popular and well-selling model, so the third generations will undergo some refinements. Only minor tweaks will be made to the vehicle. It is common for new models to get redesigned front fascia and that will be the case with our 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid. We expect it to wear a bolder grille with chrome surroundings. Also redesigned will be the front bumper and fog lights. The rear end will get revised taillights graphics. Other than that, things will be pretty much the same. It seems that the carmaker changed the vehicle just enough it to call it new. Its overall shape and dimensions will remain untouched.
2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid Interior
Few minor updates across the cabin can be noticed but generally, things are pretty much the same. From the spy shots, we concluded that buttons beneath the LCD screen have been re-positioned. We also noticed slightly changed gear transmission setup. The space inside of the cabin hasn’t been changed. However, it seems that this model year, we will be offered more in terms of technology. Therefore, expect see an upgraded entertainment system, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, and many others. The cabin of the newcomer will still offer ample of room for its seven passengers. The base model will get stain-resistant cloth upholstery, while higher trim levels include leather seating. The first two rows are spacious and comfortable, while the third one is mostly for kids. Compared to competition, the Santa Fe doesn’t offer much in terms of cargo capacity, but we think that it is something the carmaker will deal with at a later date.
Hyundai Santa Fe 2017 Hybrid Engine
This readily affordable, family car will be offered with a hybrid engine, besides the regular 3.3-liter V6 unit. The same engine will probably be used for the hybrid combo. It will ensure power for the front wheels of the vehicle, while an electric motor will ensure power for the rear wheels. Details about power output haven’t been announced yet. More details will be available closer to the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid release.
Release date and price of 2017 Santa Fe Hybrid
The 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid will go on sale in mid 2016. All its features, powerful engine, and attractive look can be bought for $25,000 (the base model).
